Well I’m about to go in to fix my torn meniscus. The doctor won’t know how bad the tear is until they get in the scope in to see. My appreciation grows for Garrett Richards and everything he went through and continues to fight his way back. You see the injury, read or hear the injury update “MRI confirms tear then surgery is set and recovery will be 4-6 weeks.” But what does those words mean.
Reality is they take x-rays, the doctors then schedule an MRI (a giant tube that your trapped in and have to be perfectly still. )I had to wait 10 days for the result ( if I had won 20 games then they would have been faster) then the news I was not surprised to hear, there’s a tear and surgery is set and 4-6 weeks recovery with physical therapy. I am nervous, don’t comfort me with the “there theres,” the” it’s all going to be ok”. You don’t know how it’s going to be. I look to Garrett, if he can make it so can I. No giving up. Faith is stronger than fear. Well here I go.
